Following several weeks of knowledge sharing masterclasses, mentorships and incubation, the Lagos Innovates Idea Hub Programme 7.0 reached a peak on the 27th of July at the Pitch Day event hosted by Microsoft. The top eight startups pitched their ideas at the event, and we were incredibly proud to witness their growth and watch them present their ambitious plans. Gracing the occasion were Donovan Richards, the Queens Borough President; Ebony Young, the Deputy Queens Borough President; Mrs Ibilola Kasunmu, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology; Olatunbosun Alake, Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Technology; Victor Afolabi, Founder of Eko Innovation Center; Taiye Salami, Product Marketing Manager- Startups at Microsoft and Omolara Adewumi, the Director of Programmes and Coordination, LSETF, who made inspiring speeches and offered words of advice to the startups. We are glad to see another cohort scale through the Idea Hub Programme successfully, and we look forward to the feats they achieve in the future.
