SO MUCH TO BE DONE- A CALL FOR PARTNERSHIP LSETF, is committed to making Lagos the megacity of our dreams. LSETF is committed to transitioning more Lagosians into financial freedom. How do we intend to do this? Through the creation of employment and entrepreneurship opportunities. We help Lagos residents realize their dreams and aspirations by providing leverage and access to finance, trainings and empowerment initiatives. Currently, we have three initiatives through which we carry out our various projects: 1. The MSME Loan Programme through which small businesses can access affordable funding to grow, expand, and create wealth. Even more importantly, these small businesses also become employers of labour. 2. The Lagos State Employability Support Project (LSESP) where we empower through knowledge and skills acquisition. We go a step further by facilitating job placements so participants gain employment at the end of the training. 3. The Lagos Innovates programme. “Software is eating the world” they say, Lagos is not exempted. Through Lagos Innovates, we empower tech startups and innovation-driven enterprises to position them for growth and impact. What have we done so far? • The MSME Loan Programme has given out loans to 7,500 beneficiaries totalling N5.2 billion. • The LSESP has trained over 2,500 beneficiaries in over 16 skillsets, 20% of whom have been placed in jobs. • Between our MSME Loan Programme and LSESP beneficiaries, a total of over 25,000 jobs have been created till date. We have achieved this much due to the partnerships and support we currently enjoy from organisations such as United Nations Development Project (UNDP), First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Sterling Bank, Stanbic IBTC, FinaTech, and Pricewaterhousecoopers.
What do we plan to do? We only just started, a lot still lies ahead of us. We plan to extend the reach of our impact by doing much more in areas such as: • Women Empowerment and inclusion where we hope to create more opportunities and initiatives to support more women entrepreneurs, and advance gender equality and inclusion. • Youth skill development, more opportunities can be created through the employability support scheme to provide relevant skill trainings and job placements for its beneficiaries. • Education and Learning Programmes through the creation of more access to proper information and resources for budding entrepreneurs. • Access to finance by expanding the reach of our SME loan programme, we can empower more entrepreneurs. • Access to market by providing more opportunities for our beneficiaries to showcase their products and services at exhibitions, conferences and trade fairs. • Development of the Lagos Tech Environment. With the growing trend of tech startups choosing Lagos as their base, we are committed to building a thriving ecosystem in Lagos through the Lagos Innovates Programme.
How do you come in? We cannot do this on our own and can reach more people through strategic partnerships and collaborations. You can partner with us or show your support in 3 major ways: • Donations: You can give a dedicated amount to empower beneficiaries either through the MSME Loan Programme or the LSESP. • Grants: You can make or award a grant towards our MSME Loan Programme, LSESP or Lagos Innovates Programme. • Employment- You can also employ graduates of our LSESP after their trainings. Our loan beneficiaries can also enlist as vendors to your organization.
We believe that together we can build Lagos to be the megacity of our dreams. With you, the LSETF can empower Lagosians and put them on the path of fulfilling their dreams. Contact us here for all your donations.
